When was the last time you took a photo for yourself? One photo, not hundreds that you will never look at again. We are currently drowning in a flood of digital images and are forgetting to capture more and more long-lasting memories for ourselves. That's why my bachelor thesis was about "Capture moments the right way again" - The modern establishment of haptic photos in Generation Z for emotional added value and realistic memory. A brand identity and a brand design including the app design were developed.
trueshot is an app that is designed like an analog camera. The app only allows you to take 36 photos per collection. As soon as you have taken the photo, it disappears from your smartphone. Once you have taken all 36 photos, you can order the photos in haptic form in the app. The photos arrive in a box with a personalized title for the collection. Great care was taken to recreate the analog feel in some way. The main black tone should remind of the surface of an analog camera, while the warm orange and the strong blue should visualize the interaction between digital and analog. The real and authentic moments, which should be focused on and kept as a memory for later, are the focus of the entire design.
